About PlanMyDaysOff

PlanMyDaysOff is a free tool that shows public holidays for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and the Netherlands, and works out the best "bridge days" – the leave days that join weekends and holidays into longer breaks.

Where the data comes from

Holiday dates come from Nager.Date, an open-source public holiday database. Regional holidays are shown where the source flags them. Rules can change and employers differ, so please confirm your days off with your employer before booking travel.

How bridge days are calculated

For each country we mark weekends and national public holidays as days off, then find every stretch you could make continuous by booking normal workdays off. We rank these by how many days off you get per leave day, and the planner uses an optimisation algorithm to pick the best set of breaks for your leave budget.
